Can Running Adsense on Blog Video on Youtube?

Does Google allow us to create a blog with an embedded YouTube video (embedded), and monetize it using Google Adsense or any other ads-network?

I've done a little research to answer this question.

First, if the intended Youtube video embedded in the blog before, not a result of our own work, then I can say that it is unethical. Why? Since we do not have the right to use other people's videos commercially (for material benefits).
